GPS/GNSS Surge Suppressor

GPS/GNSS Surge Suppressor

A GNSS surge suppressor protects sensitive electronics by diverting excess voltage to ground before it reaches the GPS receiver.

GPS antennas are often located on rooftops or towers, which makes them vulnerable to lightning-induced surges. A surge suppressor clamps high voltage spikes and routes them safely to a grounding system.

A suppressor is installed inline on the GNSS antenna cable between the antenna and the GPS receiver and is essential for outdoor located antennas.
